Thank You for Your Service, Mike
Michael “Mike” Marsh, former President and CEO of the National Council of Agricultural Employers (NCAE), was formally recognised for his eight years of service during the 2025 staging of the NCAE, marking his retirement at the end of 2025.
The presentation was made by the Minister, on behalf of the Government and People of Jamaica, underscoring the value placed on Marsh’s leadership and his contribution to agricultural labour advocacy and international cooperation. The physical handing over of the gift was carried out by Permanent Secretary Colette Roberts Risden, reflecting the administrative and institutional partnership that characterised Marsh’s engagement with Jamaica.
Since assuming leadership of NCAE in 2017, Marsh served as a steady and informed advocate for agricultural employers, particularly on labour-related matters affecting farmers and food production systems. With a professional background rooted in agriculture and finance, he brought structure, credibility, and practical insight to complex policy discussions, including ongoing efforts toward meaningful farm labour reform.
The Minister highlighted the significance of Marsh’s leadership and its broader impact.
“Mike Marsh’s tenure was defined by principled leadership and a deep understanding of the realities facing agricultural employers,” the Minister said. “On behalf of the Government and People of Jamaica, we thank him for his service, his partnership, and his commitment to fair and workable solutions within the agricultural labour space.”
Marsh was also commended for his role in ensuring a smooth leadership transition at NCAE, guiding the organisation into its next chapter with foresight and institutional responsibility. His approach reinforced continuity, stability, and confidence among stakeholders.
In handing over the gift, Permanent Secretary Risden acknowledged Marsh’s consistency and professionalism, noting that his contribution extended beyond policy advocacy to the standards of engagement he upheld throughout his tenure.
The presentation served as both recognition and gratitude, honouring a leader whose impact was measured not in ceremony, but in sustained service.
Thank you for your service, Mike.
